Meet Jessica

As a seasoned performer and teacher,

Jessica's artistry invites audiences into spaces of beauty and diversity, and inspires her students to rise to their unique musical potential.

Whether playing in pop bands with their friends or competing in classical competitions, her students embody confidence and joy in their playing.

Jessica believes that every musical style has something to teach us about the range of our human and artistic experience. Study classical,

improvisation, pop, jazz fundamentals, and more!

Jessica Caporizzo’s teaching approach extends beyond traditional training to support the full musical experience of each student. With a foundation in classical piano and a love for improvisation, pop, and collaborative performance, she is passionate about working with dedicated young pianists and adult students seeking a deeper, more expressive connection to music. She believes that with the groundwork of consistency and focus, students can move into true excellence in their playing that encompasses joy and individuality.

While her conservatory training taught her consistency and focus, it was her journey through two back surgeries that taught her to integrate body awareness, mindfulness, and breathwork. By combining (good) technical discipline and mindful awareness, she learned to be more efficient in the practice room and more embodied on stage.

Jessica believes that strong preparation, performance practice, and a clear musical vision are vital to unlocking confident musical expression. Her high energy style and methodology starts with a foundation of reading, theory, and technique. She then helps her students sharpen problem-solving skills in the practice room and build resilient mental practices to use in performance. When students are able to rise above technical challenges, they can infuse their personal stories with the music and perform with more authentic confidence.
